GVSA has partnered with Amana Academy across multiple campuses and project phases, providing master planning and design services to meet their growing school's needs with renovations, adaptive reuse, additions, and biophilic site transformations. These projects include the transformation of an existing grocery store into their first school campus and later the same addaptive reuse of a two story office building into their new west campus school. Creating learning environments, as well as the addition of new classrooms, administrative areas, and shared learning spaces designed to support their goals and needs. Through each phase, the design approach has focused on flexibility, efficient use of space, and the creation of engaging learning environments that reflect the school’s mission and educational philosophy. Work across Amana Academy campuses has included the adaptive reuse of existing structures to create inspiring classroom environments, integration of biophlic strategies such as clerestory windows, and the development of outdoor gathering spaces that support both learning and community events. At the West Atlanta campus GVSA delivered a phasing plan to meet immediate enrollment needs, providing functional academic space within an accelerated schedule. Additional planning efforts have supported long-term campus growth, allowing the school to expand in a strategic and cohesive manner. GVSA’s ongoing relationship with Amana Academy reflects a shared commitment to creating thoughtful, adaptable educational environments that support students, faculty, and the broader community.
