Theatrical Outfit is a renovation project focused on enhancing lobby and patron experience spaces as part of the organization’s “Heart of the City Campaign,” supporting the continued evolution of the theater as a cultural destination within downtown Atlanta. Working closely with the client, general contractor, engineering team, and the City of Atlanta, GVSA provided architectural and interior design services that strengthen the relationship between performance spaces and the surrounding urban context. The design improves circulation, accessibility, and spatial clarity within the lobby environment while creating a welcoming atmosphere that supports gathering, social interaction, and pre- and post-performance engagement. Interior material selections and lighting strategies contribute to a refined yet approachable aesthetic that aligns with the identity of the organization and enhances the visitor experience. The renovation improves functionality for both daily operations and special events while supporting the long-term sustainability of the facility as an active cultural venue. Through thoughtful coordination and design integration, the project contributes to the vibrancy of the downtown arts community while reinforcing the theater’s role as an important civic and creative resource.
