555 Boulevard is a mixed-use residential development located in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, a rapidly evolving district known for its proximity to Ponce City Market, Central Park, and Midtown. The project introduces new housing, retail, and resident amenities while maintaining sensitivity to the scale of the surrounding residential community. The development includes 110 residential units organized above a retail and parking podium. The building structure consists of five stories of wood-frame residential construction above four stories of concrete construction, which houses parking and the primary retail level. A central courtyard forms the social heart of the development, providing shared outdoor space that allows natural light to penetrate the building’s interior while creating a landscaped gathering area for residents. Additional amenities include a rooftop deck, fitness center, club room, and shared recreational spaces designed to foster community interaction. Terraced residential units along the rear of the building create private balconies while helping reduce the perceived scale of the structure adjacent to neighboring single-family homes. The project’s design balances density with contextual sensitivity, introducing new housing opportunities while contributing positively to the evolving character of the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.
