The New Vision Television broadcast studio in Savannah serves as the home for the region’s ABC and FOX news affiliates. GVSA was selected through a competitive process to design a facility that would redefine how news is produced and delivered for the station’s growing broadcast operations. The project involved the creation of a 22,000-square-foot broadcast facility that integrates studio production, newsroom operations, administrative offices, and support spaces within a highly coordinated technological environment. GVSA provided comprehensive services including programming, architecture, interior design, furniture design, documentation, and construction administration. A central design goal was the integration of live streaming technology and a technologically advanced newsroom environment known as the Information Center. This innovative concept allows real-time interaction between studio broadcasts and newsroom operations, creating a dynamic and flexible broadcast environment that enhances how news is produced and delivered. The completed facility has become a showcase for broadcast design and technology integration, attracting regular tours from industry professionals interested in the innovative studio environment. The project demonstrates GVSA’s ability to deliver highly technical facilities that combine functional efficiency with contemporary design.
