The Concourse E Expansion delivers a standalone, two‑story concourse addition connected to the north end of Concourse E at Hartsfield‑Jackson Atlanta International Airport via an enclosed, elevated pedestrian bridge. The new building comprises approximately 28,000 square feet, with the overall project impacting roughly 35,000 square feet, enhancing gate capacity, airside efficiency, and operational flexibility within an active airfield environment. The project adds three new Group III aircraft gates and reconfigures five existing Concourse E North gates, creating additional aircraft parking positions capable of accommodating Group III, IV, and V aircraft. These improvements support phased construction and uninterrupted airline operations across the campus. As part of a broader gate realignment strategy supporting the future widening of Concourse D, the expansion includes new passenger amenities and airline support spaces. GVSA, in joint venture with Corgan, provided design services for the Apron Level and Boarding Level restrooms, coordinated with a campus‑wide refresh and compliant with HJAIA design standards.
